Chris Larkin – Trustee
Having graduated from The University of Manchester as a Physiotherapist in 2001, Chris spent four years working in the NHS, before a three-year stint in the private sector. It was in 2009 that Chris identified the voluntary sector as the place he wanted to build his career, combining his healthcare background and management experience, when he joined the Stroke Association. Over the subsequent twelve years he worked in a range of Operational leadership roles, most recently as the Director for England, while also completing his MBA at Manchester Met. University part-time.
Chris joined the Alzheimer’s Society in January 2021 as their Associate Director Services, heading up the teams that deliver their local and universal dementia support services. Chris is passionate about the difference that charities, such as A Stroke of Luck, make in supporting people alongside health and social care services.
Chris lives in Cheshire with his wife, two children and Fudge the dog. Outside of work (and ferrying the kids about) he is happiest when walking up a hill, occasionally on a yoga mat, at a gig or supporting Barnsley FC.
