Currently the Head of HR at Liverpool Football Club, Julie started her career in retail and in general store management with Marks and Spencer before moving into a career in HR. With significant management and board level experience across multiple sectors, including public, private, private equity, and international markets in organisations such as; Littlewoods. Marks and Spencer, EON, Vertex, Rolls Royce, and Liverpool Football Club, Julie has a wide-ranging understanding of different companies and structures. Julie has managed transformational journeys and developed strong credible and effective HR functions in each of the companies in which she has been employed.
Julie has had a successful career, with highlights including achieving ‘best in class’ engagement, driving cultural change programmes, and establishing company-wide benchmarks for success. Over the last 5-years, Julie has led the strategic development programmes in Talent Management, Performance Management, Reward , Learning and Development , Resourcing, and Engagement at Liverpool Football Club.
Julie’s desire to be a Trustee for A Stroke of Luck comes from her support of Craig and his recovery, as well as personal experience of her Mother overcoming a stroke. Julie’s positive nature and her professional experience is hugely valuable to supporting the direction of the charity ensuring it achieves its objectives.
As a qualified Coach specialising in Personal Effectiveness, Julie is able to create meaningful objectives at both an individual and corporate level. This empathy and understanding will be an asset to each of the Stroke Survivors A Stroke of Luck interacts with, as well as all the other stakeholders vital to the success of A Stroke of Luck.
